Associate Professor Cynthia Borkai Boye

Educational Background and Passion for Learning:
Associate Professor Cynthia Borkai Boye had her Bachelor’s degree in Geodetic Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), a Professional Master’s degree in Geo-informatics at the International Institute of Geo-information Science and Earth Observation in the Netherlands and a PhD in Oceanography at the University of Ghana. She has since being in academia and committed to continuous learning and expertise in her field of study.

various Departments (Geomatics, Minerals, Computer Science and Engineering, and
Management Studies) at UMaT, demonstrates her strong administrative and organizational skills. These include her tenure as Vice Dean for the Office of Research, Innovation and
Consultancy (ORIC), Acting Dean of Faculty of Integrated Management Sciences (FIMS), and current role as Dean of the Office of International Programmes.

Cynthia has researched and published on various topics in the fields of Geomatics, Oceanography, GIS applications and Remote Sensing. Her research covers diverse topics, from shoreline change analysis, monitoring and prediction, rocky coastline stability, shoreline
prediction using artificial neural network (ANN) to fluvial sediment Discharge.

Management and Consultancy:
For over half a decade now, she has been the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Graceland
Surveying Limited, a survey firm established to offer services to the community.
